On a lovely Thursday afternoon, Ivy, Julia, Zia, Ms. Daigle, Nurse Puz, Ms. Bazanchuk, and Ms. Basdekis met in the garden.  Now, if you haven't been out to the garden recently, or at all (you should work on that), you should know that it has now doubled in size! Our awesome club advisor has fenced in the new area, among the endless other things that she has done for the garden this summer!
We pulled up weeds between the red cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, eggplant, squash, peas, brussels sprouts, leeks, sunflowers, and other veggies! Then we watered the entire garden a few times with the water the amazing MHS maintenance crew brought us!
We were also able to plant butternut squash and onions in an even newer patch of tilled land, thanks again to MHS maintenance!

Gorgeous Day, Gorgeous Gardening

Thursdays weather forecast for Pittsfield is a beautiful 85 degrees, the perfect weather for some gardening.  Come out to the garden at noon to help us pull up a few weeds, water the thirsty ground, and have some fun in the sun!
Summer is a great time to get outside and connect with where your food comes from, so there's no better time or place than to come to MHS Thursday (12th) at noon!
See you there!
