It's almost summer, and you know what that means! Gardening galore!
But first, I just wanted to congratulate Hannah P. and Zia O. on HEAT co-heads for the 2012-2013 school year and Ivy C. as the vice president!
We will be saying goodbye to our co-president Olivia O. as she heads off to Carleton College! She has been on the leadership team of HEAT for three years, been the power behind the garden, and has been a dedicated advocate of the club.
Right now in the garden the garlic, red cabbage, broccoli, onions, and beets are looking great! After a major weeding job and some refreshing rain, the garden is healthy and we are all looking forward to a great harvest!

It's name is Dean Billie Jean (because the blog is Growing Green...get it?)
Billie Jean is a snapping turtle and probably older than Hannah or I!

The garden is open to EVERYONE at EVERY time!
Everyone deserves a break and some quality time outside, so head out to the garden where you can pick a few weeds, water the thirsty plants, pick a few fresh veggies! See you in the garden soon!
